The training is aimed at professionals in the financial sector who are interested in or working with sustainable and impact finance, including investment managers, financial advisors, and sustainability officers.

Required prior knowledge

Basic level training: this training requires no prior knowledge and covers the basics of the subject.

  • Spectrum of investment approaches
    • Understanding the differences: responsible investing, sustainable investing, and impact investing
  • Key actors in Belgium
    • Overview of significant players in impact finance
  • Interactive Exercises
    • Exercise 1: Identifying the impact organizations that attract impact investors, based on the ABC Framework
    • Exercise 2: Applying the three key principles of impact investing:
      • Intentionality
      • Impact measurement and management
      • Additionality
    • Case studies illustrating real-world scenarios and applications

Methodology

You follow a ‘Classroom training’ in a group. You, the other participants and the teacher are all present in the same classroom at an agreed time. There is an opportunity for interaction and feedback, both from the participants to the teacher and vice versa. The teaching material consists as a basis of a presentation via the MyFA learning platform, supplemented with various other items (such as digital syllabus, presentation, audiovisual fragments, etc.).
